Caltrain/101 Corridor Vision – Share your thoughts

On March 1, community members gathered in San Mateo’s library to learn about an eye-opening vision of potential dramatic mobility improvements for the Caltrain/101 Corridor.

People who attended got to share their opinions about potential commute improvements – if you weren’t able to attend, but use Highway 101 and or Caltrain, please share your thoughts here

Ratna Amin of SPUR talked about a vision of seeing the corridor with all kinds of travel working together to move many more people.

Stuart Cohen of TransForm talked about the potential to move as many people in one revamped lane of Highway 101 as all the rest of the lanes put together.

Also, Brian Shaw of Stanford talked about how to successfully help more people commute with less congestion, and Seamus Murphy of Caltrain/SamTrans talked about the short-term challenges and long-term opportunities to fund improvements for Caltrain, 101, and El Camino Real.

If you missed it, we’ll be recapping the program in Palo Alto and Redwood City – stay tuned for more dates.
