Do you want to see a full loop of backbone rail service around the Bay, with Caltrain connecting to BART in San Jose? Do you want to see better integration between Caltrain, BART, ACE, light rail, and frequent bus service, providing great transit for those of use who drive rarely or not at all? Would you like to see integrated fares for convenience and affordability? Do you want to see much better safety for walking and bicycling in San Jose and Santa Clara County?
What do you think about spending money for the proposed BART extension from Diridon to Santa Clara, which duplicates Caltrain service in a segment that isn’t crowded? What do you think about the proposed Alum Rock station, which provides BART access and economic opportunity for a low-income community?
We can have influence, but only if we speak up. Come learn more about the upcoming Santa Clara County ballot measure and build a strong community voice for sustainable transportation.
The next meeting is this Wednesday night, September 2 at 6pm in downtown San Jose at Martin Luther King Library, Room 255, 150 E. San Fernando Street, San Jose.
The last meeting in the series of community meetings is Wednesday, September 9 at 6pm in Mexican Heritage Plaza, 1700 Alum Rock Ave, San Jose, CA.
